F-16 Fighting Falcon Notebook

The F-16 Fighting Falcon, a single-engine supersonic multirole fighter aircraft, is a product of the renowned manufacturer General Dynamics. First flown in 1974, it has been a major component of the U.S. Air Force's combat lineup for over four decades. Known for its frameless bubble canopy and side-mounted control stick, the F-16 offers its pilots unobstructed visibility and easy maneuverability. It's a versatile jet, capable of air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attacks. The F-16 has been sold to 25 other nations and it's often referred to as the 'Viper' by its pilots and crews, inspired by the fighter's resemblance to a viper snake and its use in the Battlestar Galactica TV series.
